<b><h1>Do you want to live?</h1></b>\n[[Yes|okay]]\n[[No|truth]]
"Warmth?" You questioned. Their head turned in your direction and it was then you noticed the hazy eyes. "Can you not see the..." You broke off. Would they know what you were talking about?\n\n"I know where everything is here. It is my home. But you are new..." They paused, turning their head away. "I heard you crying, so I came. But you do not belong here. I can feel that on your skin. It is rough, cold... What are you?"\n\n"[[Human|human]]."\n"[[I don't know|demon]]."
"Thank you," You said. Two simple words. Something smiled at you.\n\n"You want to live."\n\n"I do."\n\n"Warmth can help you."\n\n"Really?"\n\n"Yes. [[Talk|speak]] to them. Unless you want to [[dream|sleep]]?"
Somehow you get into an actual discussion with these plants. The purple haired one is Hero, a clematis, and the other is Rosie, a rose. Whoever named him was uncreative, you concluded. \n\n"Rosie can't hear you speak," Hero was saying. Up close she was even prettier. She was tugging on the leaves where Rosie's ears would have been. "No ears! So don't try talking to him when he's got his back turned. He can read lips pretty well since he's had lots of practice so you should be okay... But I guess you [[don't know|dont know]] sign language?"
There was no light, only darkness. The sun had never risen here. You did not know what it was like to see. What was light? Did it really exist? Maybe long ago, somewhere far away, but not here. Never here. Only the lonesome night. \n\nYou laid down, hands resting on your stomach. It didn't matter if your eyes were open or closed. Everything looked the same. But if you closed them, perhaps you could [[dream|dream]].
You couldn't remember if you'd ever bought a rose without thorns before. Maybe long ago? It had a very pretty red tint to the pink petals. One you'd never seen before. There weren't many flowers you hadn't seen. You reach over to touch it, but hesitate. Was it okay? The bloom had a magical air to it. [[Pluck|bless]] the flower or [[leave|alone]] it be?
The key turned and the car roared to life. You were surprised it was that easy, actually. You pushed it into drive and managed to pull out onto the road. It was slick with ice and snow, something rather unpleasant. Still, it was managable and there was no one for miles. Everything would be okay.\n\nThe sky darkened as you drove. Soon all that illuminated the road were the car's headlights. It was dim and you hated it, but the light reflecting off the snowflakes was beautiful. \n\nSomething [[slammed|liev]] into the front in the second you were admiring them.
"They're beautiful..." You said, watching the pink tinted mounds of condensed water vapor. Without thought you reached out to touch them, leaning over the edge of the cliff. "I want... to feel..."\n\nWarmth was at your side, pressed up against you, easing you closer to the edge. "Why don't you?" A soft hand pushed you forwards. "I know you want to move on. There's another land, another world, for your eyes only."\n\nThe [[ground|again]] was hard. You hit it harder.
<center>[[Begin?|starto]]</center>
"Oh..." Hero glanced away and signed something to Rosie. "I'm sorry for bugging you..." She said slowly. You shook your head at her to assure her it was alright. Things were fine when you were alone. No one could bother you.
Blood was speckled with white spots as snow fell over it. You sat in the carnage, thinking. They took care of you, loved you, treasured you, yet you couldn't love them back. Maybe it was you who was pitiful.\n\nIt didn't matter, really. What was done was done. They were dead. You glance back at the bodies before standing. You snatched the car keys from Mom and slid into the driver's seat. Never before had you driven a car but it seemed easy enough. \n\n[[Turn|drive]] the ignition. \n\n[[Step|fuck up]] on the pedal.
Ah, so this was death? Maybe you didn't want to live after all. \n\nWhat a [[beautiful|beautiful]] rose.
You caught up to it quickly since its pace is rather slow. It seems as if it barely knows what its doing. Perhaps it hasn't walked in a while? ... Who were you kidding? It was a plant. \n\nA bright light appeared ahead. You had to shut your eyes against it since you hadn't seen something so bright in so long. Once you could open them again without cringing you noticed the plant-thing was making gestures at another... [[plant-thing|hero]]?
Warmth held your hand as you walked. It felt like newely grown leaves, so soft and precious. Their shoulders and chest were a darker shade of green, as if they were older. You walked in silence. There was nothing to say, really. You didn't know them; they didn't know you. That was nice.\n\nThey brought you to the edge of a cliff. You stared down, suddenly nervous. It was impossible to see the bottom. [[Clouds|jump]] drifted about fifty feet from the top. They smashed and colided, forming larger blobs. You looked at Warmth, but they weren't [[looking|blind]] at you.
"Warmth..." You whispered. You felt that your eyes were closed. They had been this entire time, hadn't they? You opened them then, gazing at whatever was before you. Light filled the expanse. \n\nThere was a being that looked to be made of pale green leaves. Tiny blue and white flowers dotted their shoulders and cheeks. Heat radiated off of them and it felt so nice. When they reached out, you caught their hand and pulled them close.\n\n"I am Warmth," They spoke gently, rubbing your back. "And you want to return."\n\nYou had to think for a moment. Return where? All you knew was a black abyss, envoloping you in loneliness. Would this being bring you somewhere else...? \n\n"I want to [[go|go]]."
<b><h1>Do you want to live?</h1></b>\n[[Take me back.|stop]]
"Oh... Really? That's sad," Hero whispered. She was leaning against Rosie, stroking his hand gently. The thorns on his arms pressed into her own. You thought it looked painful, those tiny spines digging divets into her skin. "I was lonely, too..."\n\nHero went very quiet for a long while. Apparently she didn't like talking all that much. \n\n"So I'll keep you company."
You wipe at your arms, smearing blood over them. That wasn't what you meant to do. Plants don't do that. You shut your eyes tight and grit your teeth. Why. Why. Why do these things happen to you?\n\nWhen you opened them everything was dark again and you were alone. The blood still coated your body and the ground, but the [[flower|look around]] was gone.
Inside your coat was quite warm, though your face still felt a bit cold. Mom rubbed your cheeks and giggled, teasing you about how pink they were for being outside for such a short time, before unlocking the car. You slid in and pulled at the seatbelt, struggling to buckle it. \n\n"We're going to pick up Mommy!" She said after checking your buckle. "There, all fassened."\n\nBut you already knew what you were going to do. You always knew what was going to happen, ever since forever. You just wanted to know [[why|why]].

Liev didn't pause to comfort you. In fact, it dragged you all the way back without another word. At some point all light vanished around you, engulfing you in an unwelcome darkness. It suddenly brightened again and you found yourself being pulled across clouds. Gazing down at you was Warmth, smiling.\n\n"I knew you wouldn't live," They said. They held out a hand, which you grasped. Liev let go, allowing you to be pulled to the cliff's edge. "I'm glad you're back. I really wanted to eat you alive."\n\n[[The worst of luck.|end 1]]\n\n"You'll be delicious."
When the car pulled to a hault there was no one at the curb. There was no one for miles. The last time you had seen another car was over an hour ago. There were no buildings, just empty expanse of fields and a single sidewalk. \n\nMom turned around and grinned at you. "Look! We're here. She'll be here soon, don't worry." Something inside you told you not to question her. Things would be alright.\n\nThe two of you stood in the snow, watching it fall for hours. No one ever came. Tears had frozen on Mom's cheeks. You pretended it didn't happen. She knelt down in front of you, pulling you into a hug. "Mommy will [[come|return]] back."
It was very true carnations looked a lot like roses. Once your friend mistook some carnations you recieved for roses. So it was understandable. You reach over to [[pick|carnage]] the prickle free plant.

You jolted awake in the dim light of hell. Home. No falling flakes of snow. No cold chills, coats, mothers, or your breath fogging the glass. What a boring home. \n\n"Ah, there you are. I was starting to wonder if you had overstayed your visit. I guess it was suposed to last longer than I thought," A beautiful being stood before you, almost smiling. Long, flowing locks of pale yellow hair draped over his broad shoulders. His skin was as dark as you remembered, his eyes as narrow and thoughtful. "Were those souls really worth it?"\n\n"Noru," You whispered, falling into his arms. "I did a very bad thing."\n\n"Yes. You [[died|death]]."
You shook your head. Nope. No sign language in this one. \n\n"Hm... Maybe I should stick with you then?" Hero offered.\n\n"What? Why?" You spat out all too quickly. Hero looked slightly offended, so you held up your hands, shaking your head. "I didn't mean it that way, it's just... I've been here alone for a long time. I don't need company."\n\n"But you must be lonely!" She huffed and crossed her arms. Rosie sat by, watching the exchange. Did he really understand...?\n\n[[No I'm not|Not lonely]].\n[[I am|Lonely]].
When you woke up, there was nothing. No light, no others. It was you alone in darkness. A wave of sadness washed over you. You lay in the dirt, staring off into the pitch black. Nothing. No one. This was how things had begun. So it was also how things would end. A single tear rolled down your cheek. That single drop turned to many. A loud sob escaped your lips. It didn't matter, though. No one would hear it. \n\nJust then you saw something beside your fingertips. In this darkness there was a patch you could see. There wasn't light around it, but you could see it. Your [[gaze|alright]] was focused on the new thing. Were you... truly alone now?
Your spirit surged into your body once again. It hurt. Blood gushed from the open wounds. Mom gasped, though Mommy drove the knife into your chest another time. You can't kill a demon. \n\nIt was easy to move even though you were hurt. It was easy to twist off her arms and crush her skull in your hands. Everything was so easy, wasn't it? Teeth gnawed at the flesh, tearing open her neck. Someone was screaming. \n\nYou turned towards Mom, smiling at her. "You didn't want me to die, did you?" She couldn't reply. You siezed her by the throat and squeezed. "But I bet you would have offed me had you the chance. Humans are [[pitiful|finish]]. I hate all of them."

It looked hurt when you wouldn't approach it. You closed your eyes tight. A dream? Right? When you opened them it was still there, smiling warmly. Shit.\n\n"Um..." You started but it started making hand gestures at you so you stopped. What...? The being took a few steps forward, grabbing your arm and [[yanking you up|up]].
This one has tendrils wrapped around its body, kind of like clothing, and purple hair with darker streaks. It had light green skin as opposed to the other's dark green. It seemed to follow the motions the other was making. \n\nWhen it noticed you it waved. "Hello! I heard you helped Rosie." \n\nWh... what? It was talking to you? Rosie? You figured that was the first plant being. \n\n"It's very thankful for that!" The new one said. Rosie seemed to do something resembling blushing and made some more motions. "Oh, stop that. I know you are. You've been stuck that way forever."\n\nYou [[stare|huh?]] in confusion.
The blade of the knife was sharp. You could not see it, but you felt it. It could easily slice you open. Things would be so easy. Life was so hard. You were sick of this place. It was all you knew. Where were you? Where was this? Why was it so dark? Why did the sun never rise? You didn't know how you knew the word. You'd never seen a 'sun'. Maybe it was pretty, like a blade. \n\nThere was a [[voice|voice]]. Soft and kind. You wanted to die.

Gently Warmth stroked your hand. After you replied they said nothing. They looked like they were thinking, but you couldn't really tell. Their lips formed into a line, eyes staring off somewhere. You wondered what it was like. Total darkness could not compare.\n\nIt was very quiet with only the breathing of you two. The silence was not unpleasant, but rather you welcomed it. Sometimes it was good to appreciate nothing. You could concentrate. On what you didn't know, but there were no distractions.\n\nUntil Warmth stood up and told you to [[follow|walk]].
"I don't know what that is," Warmth said. They were still holding your hand, running their thumb over your coarser skin. "I wonder, do you look like me? You have the same shapes."\n\n"We are different, I think."\n\n"Pity."\n\nYou wanted to question what was a pity about that. Did Warmth want everyone to be like them? It was easier to relate to beings that share similarities. You tilted your head, glazing at the [[clouds|jump]].
"Let me go!" You hissed as Liev dragged you along the ground mecrilessly. New cuts formed on your skin. Liev just shook its head. "I don't want to go back."\n\n"It's ok. Warmth will welcome you."\n\n"I don't want to see them."\n\n"But they really like you."\n\n"I don't care."\n\n"Honestly, you're such a fucking mess. You're a goddamn child."\n\n"I don't want to go back."\n\nWere you... [[crying|tears]]?
Fog formed on the cold glass from your breath. You wondered how it happened. Something warm condensing on something cold... science was interesting. But what was even more fascinating were the intricate patterns of snaking ice that krept across the frost material. When you touched them they turned to water, dripping down the window. \n\n"Having fun?" Mom asked, leaning down to your level. She patted you on the head. "Put on your coat or you'll be too cold when we go out."\n\n"Okay." You didn't really like winter coats because they were hard to move in. Too puffy. Yet without them you would feel the lonely chills of the dreaded season. You watched Mom leave the room and sighed, staring at the [[snow|snow]] piling up on the lawn.
You stood with her hugging you for a long while. Then your felt something cold against your neck before you were ripped from her arms. In the soft falling snow she stood, towering over you and Mom, hair pulled back, eyes stern. A knife in her hand, pressed up against your chilled skin. \n\n"How could you bring such a demon here? We were going to get away. Leave this child," She was crying. Mom was crying again, too. The blade dug into your skin. Deeper, deeper.\n\nYou knew [[what|eternity]] was going to happen. You always knew, somehow. Every since forever. And forever was very, very long time.
Your gaze fell upon your body, lying on the ground, staining the pretty white snow red. Mommy had driven the knife into your chest after she slit your throat. Mom was fixated to her spot. She could only stare hopelessly. \n\nMommy proceded to remove the knife from your abdomen and stab you again and again and again. \n\nWatching yourself being mutilated after death wasn't so fun. You wanted to swoop back into your body and stop her. That was yours. Your body. A demon? So it was true, but that was alright. They were the ones who wanted to take care of you. \n\nYou just wanted to [[devore|eat]] a pure soul.

Noru carried you on his back to his home. It had changed since you left. There was light in this world. Before there had never been light. You lived in bleak darkness, but you could see. It was strange but you thought nothing of it. Normal.\n\n"Does this mean you're dead?" You asked Noru in a hushed voice. He nodded. "Is it just us?" He nodded again. The sun was a ball of fire, a small star. Though it was much closer than the rest. So warm, so happy. You had never seen it until today. It was much more beautiful than you could have imagined. [[Touch|touch]] the fire?
Water began to drip from the petals when you pulled away. A soft, choked sob echoed through the empty abyss. They kept falling, flowing from the base of the plant towards you. You jumped back in surprise, shocked at this turn of events. Was... was it crying?\n\nThe water was up to your ankles and it was cold. The feeling of it sloshing up against you was uncomfortable. You tried to back out of the range of the tears, but it was impossible. The water level kept rising. When it was to your neck the cries were deafening. Then [[silence|drowned]].
"Where are we going?"

The choking sound she made as you wrapped your hands tightly around her neck pleased you. It made you grip tighter. Smiled down at her. \n\n"Won't you play with me now, Mommy?" Her dead gaze drilled into you. You shook her by the neck, sobbing now, spitting angry words. "Why didn't you come home? Why didn't you come home? You promised Mom. You promised me. She said we were going to pick you up"\n\n'<i>But you [[ran away|run]] from me. Because I'm a monster.</i>'
A shrill shrieking sound filled the air when the bloom came free. Blood splattered across your body, coating you in the sticky substance. It was warm. The stem spurted more red liquid for a while before it ceased to a trickle. Your black eyes were wide with fear and surprise. \n\nYou shouldn't have done that to a [[rose|rose]].
Your body traveled with the car and then stopped. Everything had stopped. You open the eyes you didn't realize you closed and peered out the window. One light was out. The other lit up the being towering a few feet above the car. It was brown with blue masses that covered its head and half its face. You couldn't tell what they were until it leaned down. \n\nFlowers.\n\nIts hand reached through the broken glass and cupped your face. "You're a fucking mess, honestly," It sighed and drew back, making a pained expression. "I am Liev." \n\n"Who?" You reply, unbuckling. \n\n"Liev. I have to [[take|never]] you back."
"Liars always want to die. They don't want to face the truth. You hurt my Rosie. You killed my Rosie."\n\nThey kept going on and on but this was the first time you had met anyone here. In all the countless ages of wandering alone, you had never met a single being, much less two. Not a lie. Not a lie.\n\nYou weren't a liar. Wrong. Wrong. But you wanted to die, so it was okay. Was that a [[smile|smile]] on your lips?
"Ow!" You exclaimed, rubbing at where it grabbed you. The thing was pacing now. That couldn't be the rose, could it? \n\nThen it retreated into the darkness, giving you no time to think. It motioned for you to follow. But where could you go...? You'd been wandering here for so long and saw nothing. There can't be anything out there now. But the rose-thing was leaving you in the dark abyss. [[Alone|follow]].
The blossom looked so pretty between your fingers. Suddenly the petals began to drop off, landing softly at your feet. The rose gained a large quantity of weight and began to grow. Before your hands were crushed you shuffled out of the way. \n\nA naked... something stood before you. It brushed itself off, removing some leaves. There were thorns covering its neck and arms but those stopped before the hands. It had delicate pink hair tipped with red. Black eyes stared at you. \n\nYou stayed in your place a few feet away. What was [[that|rosie]]?

A plant grew up beside your finger tips. What was it? A rose? No... there weren't any thorns. Or perhaps they were too small for you to notice. Though, some roses didn't seem to have thorns. Was it a [[carnation|carnation]] or a thornless [[rose|blessed]]?

"Ah... I've been looking for you!" There was no light to see the possessor of the voice, but they were undoubtedly beautiful. Something touched you then. It felt like leaves, smooth but unlike skin. Kind of cold. But everything was cold here. No light.\n\nThe pain didn't hit you for a few seconds. You felt the puncture, but not the searing agony. But then it did hit, and it hit hard. You doubled over, coughing and spitting up blood, gripping your stomach. Blood gushed from the wound like a river.\n\n"You hurt him."\n\n[["No."|no hurt]]
Warmth wrapped its arms around you, holding you close. The feeling was wonderful, enough to bring you to tears. They kept flowing, straining your cheeks. What was this feeling? So tight in your chest. \n\n"Everything is all [[right|right]] now."
